The DC Silhouettes are the auxiliary organization of the Washington (DC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (“Kappas”). The organization, formerly Washington, DC Chapter of Silhouettes, began as a small group of Kappa wives who met during the summers of 1957 and 1958 to discuss the formation of an organization. The idea became a reality in 1959 with its incorporation of the first charter, obtained April 13, 1959 as the Kappa Silhouettes, Inc. The chapter’s first elected President was Alice Bryant (deceased).
